Class complete Socks complete

I have finished my knitting class and was able to complete a pair of socks and just about done with a scarf.
I found the pattern on a blog for knitters. I choose the pattern for its simplicity and the way the pattern looks once done. You can find the pattern at: http://blog.nobleknits.com/2011/04/free-infinity-scarf-pattern-featuring.html.
I have also started a Ravelry.com group called Huntington WV Knitters & Crocheters. It can be found at: www.ravelry.com/groups/huntington-wv-knitters--crocheters.

Knit and Crochet Show in NC

I spent the weekend in NC, at the Knit and Crochet Show. I spent the time with my aunt and cousin. We had a great time. We all found something we just couldn't live without. We saw some amazing projects. I won a set of circular knitting needles, received a couple of free books, and met many people that shares my interest. First one I went to, but can't wait until the next.

Friday the 13th

I start my knitting and crocheting workshop tomorrow. I cannot wait. I have been looking for something like this for awhile. There seems to be little interest for these forms of creative outlet, in Huntington. I have done these for sometimes and have only came across one other group. When I went though, it was just two people. I also found one at local library, but I am at work when it meets. I am just hope there are more people at these workshops, so that they may continue. I will let you know.

While I am on the subject of crochet, I wanted to let you know, I have several things up at my Etsy Shop. So I am trying to move some of it out and offering a couple of coupons that can be used with a purchase. I have one that is $5.00 off a purchase of $25 or more through Friday, September 13th and a coupon for free shipping with a $25 purchase or more good through the end of the month. Please use the following coupon codes when you make a purchase: FRIDAYTHE13TH for the $5 off, and FREESHIPPINGWITH25 for free shipping.

Also while you checking out my crochet items, why not visit my photography site at Image Kind. You may find something you like there also. Just follow this link: http://CountryHome.imagekind.com/.I recently finished these boot type socks, but have a little trouble with the pattern, so I am asking; "What is the easiest pattern for crocheting booties?" This is my first pair of booties, and I think I lost count or something because one seems a little larger. I just would like to find an very easy pattern. I would appreciate any input.

Summer Fun

I haven't been working much on my crochet. But
I have been enjoying as much outside time as I can. I have been walking, going to the park and hiking in the woods. But even with all that I managed to complete my first pair of slipper socks.

My time outside as lead to some nice pictures. Please do not use these photos without permission.

Cat Toys

I made a cat, so that got me thinking, that I should make some cat toys. So here's my first set and one individual dangly one. I made them from 100% nylon yarn. They are filled with Poly-fil stuffing. The larger one has a noise maker inside made from a gum ball machine container and beads. And again, you can find it listed at may Etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/auntkandis

I have also finished a beautiful demon colored cowl.

Creating Cuddle Creatures

I have been busy lately crocheting two panda bears and one rabbit to post into my Etsy shop. You can find these items at the following link. http://www.etsy.com/shop/AuntKandis

I have a couple of kids fighting over the multi-colored panda. I will have to make them one of their own. I have already made them their own bunnies already. One of them even received an owl for the grade school graduation gift.
