Teaching Crochet?

I have been thinking about teaching crochet in my area, but am not sure how to begin the process. So, I am asking for advice. Do any of you teach crochet or knitting, how much do you charge and do you provide materials?

The I love the thought of sharing the craft, but not sure how or where to start. I do not know if there is any other teachers in the area, I have looked for knitting classes but have not found any. So I have thought about meeting at public place and provide the materials. But then the price is an issue, I want to be able to keep the charge reasonable. Any advice would be appreciated.

Great Easter Sunday

EASTER SUNDAY

The day started off with a hurried finishing of the four Easter Bunnies I crocheted for some special girls. It took four weeks to complete them all, but I was down sick for a couple of days and it put me behind. Yet I managed to finish the last one a couple of hours before the girls came over. The pattern can be found at: http://www.caron.com/projects/op/op_bunny.html.

Then after a wonderful day with the girls and great food my night was completed with The Bible on the History Channel. It was a moving episode, I was brought to tears as Jesus carried the cross. You can find out more about the 5 episode event at: http://www.history.com/shows/the-bible.

Finished owl

I finished this owl so I could give it to a little girl for her grade school graduation. She loves owls! I hope she enjoys it.
I received the pattern from the workshop I am taking at Craftsy.com. It is a pattern from Stacey Trock. You can find out more about her and her patterns at freshstitches.com.

I have modified the owl a little. Here is what he now looks like.

What did I do wrong?

I finished the purse I have been working on, but the sides are wavy and I don't understand what went wrong. I have six single crochet across to make the sides and as you can see, it has wavy sides. Does anyone know what I did wrong and have an answer to fix the problem?

Finished Mod Wig

I finally finished the mod wig. I was given the pattern from a friend of a friend. But it was from Crochet Today magazine. The info for this can be found at: http://www.crochettoday.com/crochet-patterns/marvelously-mod-wigs.
The base was fast and easy to do, even making the curls went fast, but attaching the was a little time consuming. The finished product is so worth it though. Let me know what you think of this project, if you have made one and what was the biggest challenge.

Great Feeling

I realized that I would not have enough time to finish a lap afghan before my visit. So I decided to create a prayer shawl for my friend. When I gave it to her, it was if I had given her the greatest gift. It actually brought tears to her eyes and made me feel so great knowing that this small gift could mean so much. This feeling fuels my desire to learn and share this craft with all. I am now working on a purse for a little girl in my life. I will post a picture when done.

I have recently update my Etsy shop's name, this is where you will find me.

Share you best moment when giving a gift. I would love to hear them.

Happy New Year

I hope that everyone has a great new year. I am going to give off a more positive attitude. I will try to take a more optimistic approach to life. I am going to ignore the negative influences and look for the good in every situation. I just hope I can stay strong it is sometimes hard, but I know I am strong. I quit smoking and was able to lose 30 lbs, now comes my inner peace and strength, the hardest thing of all, the mind.
On another note, I started a lap afghan for a dear friend. I hope to have it done soon.
